Tears of Joy

About Tears of Joy

Annette and Kobus Dreyer are exceptional people who have made their own homes and property available to accommodate abused women. These ladies live in wendy homes and receive meals and a safe place to sleep. They are taken care of with great love.

Annette is a Social Worker, who specializes in counseling. She works with the ladies every day.  They bottle fruits and vegetables, and make delicious preserves. They also do needlework and create beautiful dolls and children’s clothes. Their products are sold at the farmers’ market, providing them with a small income.

The Genadesak Project, in collaboration with ATTSA, aims to change the lives of these ladies.

Their Goal

Tears of Joy provides a sanctuary and security for vulnerable women who are rejected by society. These women have nowhere else to turn and depend on shelters like this to survive.

They are brave women who have opted to leave their abusive relationships to start a new life.  Tears of Joy makes this possible for them.
